Apply for fundingSmiley face

The Soloist Association primarily provides support for chamber music associations and classical music festivals/concert series, as well as covering production costs for classical CD releases and, in special cases, deficit coverage.

Additionally, applicants holding at least a master’s degree from one of the Danish or equivalent international conservatories may apply for support for study trips, courses, and further education both domestically and abroad.

Support may also be granted for auditions related to specific productions in Denmark and abroad; applications for this purpose must include documentation of substantial professional-level activity.

Please note:
As a rule, support is NOT provided for the following:

  • Individual concerts
  • Instrument purchases
  • Wages/fees
  • General auditions
  • Music-dramatic productions/opera stagings
  • Choral productions/concerts
  • Potentially self-financing full orchestra productions/concert series featuring, for example, Mozart’s/Brahms’/Verdi’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s St. John/St. Matthew Passion, or similar masses/oratorios.

For the sake of formal requirements, applications must include a simple budget/account statement and a brief overview of planned activities specifying participants and repertoire.
Complete the application form and attach any relevant supporting documents as a single Word/Excel document, PDF file, or equivalent format.

Attachments may also be sent later via email to mail@solistforeningen.dk, referencing the application submitted on this page.

We kindly request that applications be limited to a maximum of 2 pages, without photos!

Please also note that, upon receiving support, applicants are generally subject to a one-year application suspension from the date of the grant.

Applications must be submitted no later than 8 days before the next board meeting—application deadlines are stated in connection with the announcement of upcoming grant meetings.

Unfortunately, the supplementary support has discontinued, see under Ensembles (in Danish).
